While silk production requires less water than other fabrics, it also relies on domesticated silkworms that feed on the leaves of the mulberry tree. That's why we use recycled silk for our Silk Duvet Insert. It’s a more ethical option compared to virgin silk. Plus, recycled silk reduces waste by keeping this coveted, exquisite fiber out of landfills and giving it new life as luxurious, sustainable bedding.

We encase the duvet insert’s recycled silk filling with wondrously soft, GOTS-certified organic cotton. Stitched in a lavish, 400-thread-count sateen weave, it’s the perfect combination of comfort and sustainability. Organic certified cotton is also more breathable than synthetic alternatives. Ours is ethically grown in India without pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. This is better for you, our family farmers, and the planet.
