Unboxing and setting up your mattress is quick and easy. You might want a friend, since a great organic mattress might be heavier than expected. There will be no off-gassing, but you should expect a fresh, natural scent that will soon dissipate. Although you can rest on your new mattress immediately, give it a day to fully expand. Good news: We are working directly with biodegradable plastic firms to engineer a plant-based alternative to the low density polyethylene plastic wrap that is currently used to protect our organic mattresses in transit. Believe it or not, there is nothing available that meets our requirements. So we're working to make our own! Until then, please recycle.
