The “thread count” is the number of threads woven together in one square inch of fabric. These numbers are often inflated. Most sheets are multi-ply, which means threads are layered and twisted to gain a higher count for marketing purposes while compromising the sheet’s quality. Our Organic Cotton Pillowcase Sets are a true 400 or 600 thread count single-ply made of extra-long-staple organic cotton, so they are finer and softer.

Made with a manufacturing process that reduces water and electricity consumption, our Organic Cotton Sheets are pre-washed and processed to maintain a neutral pH level providing a safe touch to the skin. We’ve also worked to reduce the amount of wasted fabric during production. The effort is part of the broader environmental mission, like our Farm to Mattress concept, that drives Avocado.
TRANSPARENCY & PROVENANCE
Our cotton is purchased directly from family growers to ensure traceability. We believe in getting to know the farmers and experiencing the farms where the cotton is grown. Each bale of cotton arrives at our cotton mill for processing with a unique number, allowing complete traceability from the farm to the final production process. This process uses the latest technology to create the most efficient, productive cotton spinning system in the world — essential to producing the finest quality yarns available anywhere.

That means an independent laboratory verified this product was tested for harmful substances and produced sustainably according to the OEKO-TEX® standards.
