RELIABLE PROTECTION
The ideal complement to our Organic Latex Wedge Pillow, our Organic Waterproof Wedge Pillow Protector is GOTS-certified organic and delivers the ultimate protection for your pillow. Manufactured in our GOTS-certified factory, it prevents spills and liquids from seeping into your pillow, helps reduce stains, prevents allergies, and keeps dust mites at bay. The hidden side zipper makes it easy to remove and wash. And because the waterproof polyurethane is thin, there’s no uncomfortable plastic feel — just lightweight, cloud-like support for your head and neck.

NO WORRIES
Our pillow protector features an ultra-thin polyurethane waterproof barrier that accounts for only 5% of its materials — within the GOTS standards for an essential material accessory. The rest is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton. That means it's certified organic so you can rest easy with the added assurance that your pillow is protected from inevitable spills and stains, as well as bacteria and dust mites.

EASY TO CLEAN
When it’s time to wash your pillow protector, doing so is simple. Remove it using the hidden side zipper and machine-wash it in cold water on the gentle cycle. Do not put it in the dryer. Hang the pillow protector and let it air dry. And if it looks a little wrinkly after the wash, that’s normal — the protector will smooth out once it’s back on your pillow.

CLIMATE NEUTRAL CERTIFIED
As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis.

PROJECT ZERO WASTE
We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. We're we aren't done yet. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate. Read more about Project Zero Waste.

DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHTS
7-inch: 7” H x 24" L x 24” W
10-inch: 10” H x 24" L x 24” W
Made in an Avocado facility in Tecate, Mexico.ORGANIC COTTON AND WATERPROOF LAYER DERIVED FROM CORNSTARCH
Our Organic Wedge Pillow Protector has two GOTS-certified organic cotton layers. Sandwiched between these layers is an ultra-thin, breathable waterproofing layer made from polyurethane derived from Susterra® propanediol. This propanediol is sourced from natural corn starch and is a USDA-certified bio-based product. Unlike traditional petrochemical alternatives such as 1,4-butanediol (BDO), Susterra® propanediol is renewably sourced and generates up to 48% fewer greenhouse gas emissions from cradle-to-gate (raw material to factory gate). This means it is plant-based and petrochemical-free, utilizing sustainable and renewable resources.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Our waterproof protector relies on two layers of organic cotton to absorb liquids and a thin, GOTS-approved polyurethane membrane in the middle, which functions as the waterproof barrier. Even so, all polyurethane-based membranes do have a tendency to get weaker over time and, sooner or later, their performance will drop. This can be the result of UV radiation, aging, flexing, high or low temperatures, punctures, and, of course, numerous washing cycles. Our waterproof protector represents the best possible performance while still being a GOTS-certified organic product. But we do not warrant it to be foolproof. No protector can claim that. It is, however, great for life's little accidents, as the hundreds of customer reviews attest. (Pro tip: some parents use two protectors at once, so they can just remove the outer protector in case of an accident for cleaning.) If you need a thick plastic protector with a zipper enclosure, we don’t sell those due to risk of chemical off-gassing and our preference for organic and sustainable products.
